Knights of Columbus Recruiting Weekend — February 15, 2009

This weekend is a chance to find out more about what we do as Knights. If you are still at Church, drop by the Welcome Table; or come back to SES Monday Night at 7:30 pm to rooms 4 & 5 for an open house where we will answer your questions and provide exciting details on this experience of a lifetime. For those times you have been thinking of joining the Knights; of beginning your journey to Knighthood – now is here. We are not asking for a lot of your time. You can put in as much time as you like. Email us at the address below for more info or stop by Monday night where a light meal will be provided. You will be part of a wonderful group with a desire to become better Christian gentlemen.

2009 Special Olympics — February 7, 2009

The 2009 World Winter Games are currently under way through February 13, in Boise, Idaho. About 3,000 athletes from 85 countries are competing in seven sports: alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, figure skating, floor hockey, snowboarding, snowshoeing and speed skating. Special Olympics Illinois is represented at these 2009 World Winter Games by seven athletes and seven coaches/staff members. The Knights of Columbus is a proud partner of the Special Olympics. God Bless the athletes, the coaches and the more than 6,000 volunteers. The Special Olympics Athlete Oath is “Let me win. But if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt.”

How Are You Going to Answer the Call? — January 31, 2009

Sign up for the Vocation Cross Program Pray for Vocations. This June, three men will be ordained priests, including our own Dindo. However, about 13 priests are retiring. You do the math. Pray for Vocations and sign up.
