Happy New Year

Happy New Year

Happy New Year!

The Knights of Columbus wish the entire SES community a Happy New Year!

Our Numbers Make a Difference

  • 68 million hours of volunteer service
  • $144.9 million in charitable contributions
  • 393,030 blood donors
  • More than $1.2 billion in charitable contributions in the last 10 years.

These are impressive numbers, but when it comes to helping people, our work has only just begun. We need you to join our order and help the Knights continue to make a difference. If you are considering beginning your journey to Knighthood, ask a Knight, drop us an email at the address below, or stop by our social meeting on January 19 in the lower level. It truly is an Experience of a Lifetime.

Happy New Year everybody!

Happy Birthday, Jesus!

Vince Nirtaut, Grand Knight, and the officers of St Elizabeth Seton Knights of Columbus Council 10025, wish our Brother Knights, their families and the entire SES community a happy, blessed, and Merry Christmas. We are truly blessed and very grateful to the men of the SES community who have generously given of their precious time and talent to help make life a little more tolerable for the recipients of our fundraising efforts. This Holy Season, as we gather around the Christmas tree, we remember the brave men and women of our mighty military. We hope they get a little rest to remember the Reason for the Season and we salute them for keeping us safe from harm’s way. Merry Christmas to all and keep up the good work!

Remember to Keep Christ in Christmas!

  • Keep the driveway and sidewalk clear of snow for an elderly neighbor.
  • Invite a friend or neighbor who will be alone to share your Christmas celebration.
  • Set aside a time of family devotions on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning.
  • Wish people you meet a good day and a MERRY Christmas!

advwr3The Third Sunday of Advent Christmas Day is just 11 short days away. How are you doing? Are you Keeping Christ in Christmas? Back on the First Sunday of Advent, Fr. Tom urged us to do more of three things.  Be considerate. Be generous. Be a little more prayerful. It is time to reflect on how we are doing on these three simple tasks. Do you help the person reaching for the item on the top shelf? Do you drop a few coins in every Salvation Army bucket? Do you say a prayer for the motorist that cut you off? Remember, Jesus is the Reason for the Season. The third candle of our Advent Wreath gets lit today. The light of our wreath gets brighter as each week gets closer to Christmas, the birth of our Savior. How are YOU answering the Lord’s call?

Keep Christ in Christmas! At Christmas we honor the birth of Jesus Christ. At times our Savior is keepchristinchristmasforgotten in the commercialization of the season and the rush to get ready for holiday festivities. In a time when all things religious are being discouraged and swept away, it’s refreshing to know that the Order sponsors the “Keep Christ in Christmas” campaign to remind people that Christmas is above all a holy day celebrating the birth of Christ. Keeping Christ in Christmas is keeping the very heart and meaning of the Christmas celebration alive.
