Knights of Columbus – The Ides of March: March 15, 2009
March 27, 2009The Ides of March. How are you doing on your Lenten journey? Did you give up chocolate, chips or booze? Did you
give up hatred, anger or gossiping? As Fr. Tom wrote back on February 22, “Fasting is good for us to do. We sacrifice from our pleasures to show God our love. We fast from our faults in order to improve our lives.” Lent is such a cool time of year; an opportunity to renew our faith. To remember God “gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life.” (John 3:16) Continue the good work you are doing. And if you are stalling, it is not too late to fast from something. Our God is awesome; unconditional love. How are you doing on your Lenten journey?
